Hello again
a week has gone by since my last post, doesn't time fly!
I haven't got a lot of crafting done, as work and family have gotten in the way, but I thought I would put a few of my older creations up to help me keep a record and for anyone interested to see.
Blogging is a strange thing for me it feels like a conversation with myself, which is fine I do it in my head all the time!!

This a card for Mums Birthday, a stamped and heat embossed swirl (from creative expressions I think) for the background in gold. A half cut but fully embossed oval with a stamped name. Rolled roses and die cut foliage and a die cut border with some card candy to finish
Inside there is a brown die cut of the same shape with the sentiment on. Mum was very happy with it so that's what matters!

This is a simple stamped and layered card for a family birthday, could have maybe done with a few more flowers, but it would be a hard design to mask. Thinking about it now should have just used 2nd generation ink and overstamped but it needed to to be sent off quickly! The butterfly is a sticker made 3d by sticking 3 together.

A birthday card for my Brother who loves fish! Catching them though not eating them funnily enough!
This is one of my 1st attempts at embossing with a folder from cuttle bug, The front being koy carp and then the Japenese theme followed on behind with cherry blossom. The fish design is on coordination's card and sanded back then coloured in gold. Simple matting and sentiment to finish.

Well that's enough for now, but as I have a few days off this week I may get back for another entry.
As my friend always says TTFN xx

Well Well!
Thought I should maybe get back to this blog, I have not looked at it for over a year, i suppose I think no one will be interested in what i have been doing. I think though I should do this as a record for myself of the cards and crafty items I have made and my journey to improve.

Here's a birthday card, the butterfly is double embossed to make it ultra shiny and the medallion stamped underneath. With papers and ribbon.
One of my 1st cards.
Really like this one Sheena's poppies stamped, embossed and coloured. A morrocan pattenned punch on the right hand side showing the red cardstock underneath and a few jewels to highlight.
This was for my niece who is very into travel. The papers and embellishments are from Craftwork cards and I thought I would try a gatefold card for a change. Liked the composition and my niece liked it too!

A special card for Mothers day a few more elements here.
A different fold  and also made some flowers, though the background was preprinted card.
Looking at it now I'm not keen on the ribbon it looks a little strange stopping half way, but of course was only on the front of the card.

Well that's a few cards for today I will add more from my picture library  over the next few weeks until I am up to date and then try to add each thing I make with better pics and descriptions
Bye for now

Well, after a manic time at work ending with the flu to keep me in my bed for a week, I have finally managed a bit of crafting. Though it hasn't stopped me exercising my credit card on more crafty essentials!
It is my hubbys birthday on the 28th so had to make him a card. I thought I would use the sketch from the CBN challenge as flu is really hard on the crafting mojo and it gave me somewhere to start.
So I would like to enter this card for the CBN challenge this week
The images are from a Hunkydory set and the other embellishments were made. I used quite a few peel off borders and corners that had been languishing in my stash for a while. I find male cards so difficult so any constructive criticism gratefully recieved.
We are going to York to see Joshy at uni and spending Rays Birthday there, so am looking forward to that.
Hope he likes the card anyway!

Perfect Pansies

Hi, as you may noticed I never managed to post my wedding card, had a few tries but it is taking me some time to get the hang of it!
I need my son back from uni to help with this kind of thing, I'm sure some of you know what I mean. lol.
I am (hopefully) posting some birthday cards I have made, that came out rather well.

I used a stamped image and coloured with promakers, colouring in is just as enjoyable as it was when I was a child if not more so as now I get to create the pics to colour in too!
For the 2nd I added a border made with my Martha Stewart butterfly border punch.
I seem to have got the hang of this so may have a go at the CBN challenge- watch this space. Aileen xx

Lost Blog

Well I am so useless at all this technology, I started  blog page then couldn't find it!!
Have been making some wedding cards for friends at work and am quite pleased with the results, will post one of them. I have recycled some parts of another card as well as my own design elements such as plaited ribbons.
Would love to know what you think xx
